Skaters Need Your Support!
Are you a fan of figure skating?
Do you believe in the power of effort?
Do you want to support local athletes?
Are you interested in helping children to fulfill their dreams?
Figure skating is expensive. The
harder a skater works, the better they get, and the more expensive the sport
costs.
Last year, the Jamesriver Figure Skating Club spent over $28,000
just for ice fees. Each skater’s family pays hundreds to thousands of dollars
per year for lessons, skates, and competition fees. Sadly, each year we see
young talented skaters drop out of the sport and give up their dreams not because
they lack passion or effort, but because the financial burden for their families
is too great.
You can help to fund the dreams and efforts of
Jamestown area figure skaters by making a tax-deductible donation to the Jamesriver
Figure Skating Club.* Your support will help to fund such expenses as practice
ice, learn to skate programs and next years Ice Show.
We appreciate donations of any amount. If you contribute $250 or more, you or your organization
will be featured in the JRFSC Skating News, JRFSC Web site and printed in the Annual Ice Show
Program.
Contributions by check can be mailed to
